IAMALI, the creative moniker of Alasdair William Grant, is a Bristol-born artist and designer now based in Ibiza. His background in architecture and music informs everything he creates, whether it’s innovative club design or bespoke residential projects across Europe. With a passion for music production and a deep understanding of design, IAMALI thrives both in the studio and at the drawing board.

Ali has collaborated with leading brands worldwide, crafting iconic nightlife spaces, stages, and audio projects. His multifaceted approach ensures that each design discipline enriches the other, resulting in unique, immersive experiences. Drawing artistic inspiration from modernist architecture, parametric design, and the visionary works of M.C. Escher, Buckminster Fuller, and James Turrell, Ali’s creative vision blends the precision of structure with the fluidity of music.

With a personal design philosophy exploreing the ‘less, but better’ approach of Dieter Rams, emphasising simplicity, sustainability, and purpose. With a belief that our work should protect the environment and connect us to nature.

Residing in Ibiza, Ali draws from the island’s energy and cultural diversity, infusing his work with both the tranquility of nature and the vibrancy of nightlife.

Looking to the future, Ali envisions a world where music and architecture converge to shape societies that are more open, expressive, and connected. He believes that by designing spaces where people are free to express their individuality and connect with others, we can foster a culture of creativity, peace, and shared understanding for future generations.
